THE NEW GENERATION OF REFRIGERATORS AND FREEZERS FOR RESEARCH AND THE LABORATORY REDEFINE THE CONCEPT OF SAFETY

Liebherr has designed new generation refrigerators and freezers, which combine maximum cooling power with perfect temperature stability.
The special models with explosion-proof internal compartment are specially developed for the storage of explosive or easily flammable substances used in the chemical industry or in special laboratories. The internal compartments comply with the safety requirements of the EU directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and are tested according to the EN 1127-1 and IEC 60079-0 or IEC 60079-15 regulations.

Innovative safety options with monitoring and alarm functions avoid most of the most common faults. Furthermore, these Liebherr tools set new standards in terms of energy efficiency and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

Compliance with the ATEX Directive
Liebherr laboratory freezers comply with the EN/IEC 60079-0 or EN-IEC 60079-7 standard and the EU Directive 2014/34/EU ('ATEX Directive'). The indoor classification II 3 G Ex ec IIC T6 (declared Zone 22) makes them suitable for flammable substances in closed containers that could form explosive atmospheres.
Extremely efficient
With the ever-increasing price of energy, the efficiency requirements of refrigerators and freezers increase. Liebherr makes full use of the savings potential of all components, from the compressor to the seal to the lighting and electronics. The result is impressive, especially in terms of savings in overall operating costs.
Temperature stability ±5 °C
Sensitive substances are highly affected by significant variations in storage temperature. Liebherr freezers guarantee low temperature fluctuations of up to ±5 °C. Thus the quality products contained within them are optimally protected from deterioration, maintaining their quality unaltered.
SmartFrost Technology
SmartFrost reduces the formation of frost inside and on stored products. Defrosting is performed much fewer times and is much simpler, thanks to the smooth, easy-to-clean internal walls. The evaporator is embedded in the foam insulation and ensures high levels of energy efficiency and uniform cooling.
Alarms and Passwords
These freezers include the most important alarms for your laboratory, such as the power failure alarm when power is restored and the maximum and minimum temperature alarms. Temperature alarms are recorded and you can be sure that, up until the moment of reading the values, the storage temperatures have always been within limits. The password security system does not allow accidental changes of settings or by unauthorized personnel.
Temperature stability and consistency EN 60068-3
All laboratory refrigerators and freezers are tested at the state-of-the-art Liebherr development centers according to the EN 60068-3 procedure for measuring temperature stability.

1 - Integrated recorder
The recorder stores temperature alarms. The alarm test can be used to verify the functionality of the internal alarm device and possibly the externally connected one.
1 - WiFi/LAN interface (optional)
Thanks to this function, Liebherr refrigerators and freezers can be easily networked with external systems, such as Liebherr SmartMonitoring, via the integrated WiFi and LAN interface. Thanks to the digital monitoring solution, the storage temperature is controlled and documented simply, safely and conveniently.
2 - Lock
Protected from unwanted access, your products will be safe thanks to a simple lock and two keys. On all Liebherr models.
3 - Self-closing door < 90°
The door remains open already at a 90° angle, helping you with product insertion and cleaning, but for safety reasons it automatically closes at a lower angle.
4 - Easy to clean interior
The polystyrene interior is odorless and 100% recyclable. Thanks to the rounded corners it is particularly easy and quick to clean.
5 - Antimicrobial handle
The ergonomic handle has been treated with special antimicrobial substances that reduce bacteria by up to 99.99%. By no longer having to carry out regular disinfection, you save time.
6 - Glass shelves
The precious glass shelves are easy to clean and can support up to 40 kg of products.
7 - Port for external sensors
To further control the storage temperature an external sensor can be used. The integrated opening allows connection without drilling holes or breaking the door seal.
8 - C sensor
